About Us
Dr. Borden has been caring for individual and family needs throughout her lifetime. A successful wife and mother for 35 years, her primary focus has always been her own family. Understanding that the home, church, and school should provide the foundations upon which human development can thrive, she and her husband have been active members of all three of these institutions throughout their lives. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and her first Masters in School Administration, she became certified to teach in Oklahoma, Texas, and New York, teaching and administrating in public and private school systems for 18 years. She and her husband simultaneously served in numerous church leadership roles. From her own personal life experiences and serving in schools and churches, she realized that children and families often need relational and mental health intervention beyond what pastors and teachers can provide. Always having the goal to use her experience with family, ministry and education to form a basis for mental health intervention, she achieved a 2nd Masters in Counseling and a 3rd in Clinical Psychology, and also achieved the theological credits necessary to become ordained with the Evangelical Christian Alliance. Completing her educational training, she achieved a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, subsequently becoming licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Texas. Dr. Borden has a private practice for the treatment of families and individuals, and uses her broad base of experience, knowledge, and vision to restore individuals and families to mental health and wholeness.
